$2,800,000 Bus vs. Pedestrian Accident
A jury awarded our client $2,800,000. Our client, a 31 year old woman, was crossing
a crosswalk in Chicago when a Chicago Transit Authority bus made a left hand turn
and struck her in the crosswalk. She was taken to a local hospital where she spent
three days. She injured her low back and suffered a herniated disc. She underwent physical
therapy, then injections. Neither cured her pain. Her orthopedic surgeon opined at trial
that our client was a candidate for lumbar fusion surgery.
