GLENVIEW CAR ACCIDENTS AND GLENVIEW TRUCK ACCIDENTS:

In December 2015, the Glenview Fire Department was notified of a multi-vehicle accident with a rollover and possible passenger entrapment.  It was reported at 2900 block of Glenview Road. Glenview Fire responded with two engines, two ambulances, truck, and Battalion 6 engine. After quickly assessing the Glenview multi-vehicle accident scene two additional ambulances were requested and an additional engine.  All vehicles in involved had extensive damage and passengers had injuries. The fire departments began two extractions.  One was to free the driver of the passenger car and the second to free two passengers trapped in the SUV.   Six passengers were transported to local area hospitals for injuries sustained in the Glenview roll over car accident.  Three were in critical condition and three other with serious injuries.

In January 2016, a driver was killed after his car struck a tow truck on the Tri-State near Central Road.  The tow truck was approaching a disabled vehicle in the left lane on northbound I-294 near mile port 46.5 when a 2010 Mazda crashed into the rear passenger side of the tow truck.  The driver of the Mazda was taken via ambulance to Glenbrook Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.  The tow truck driver was not harmed in the collision.
