BOLINGBROOK CAR AND  SEMI-TRUCK ACCIDENTS:

When driving in Bolingbrook, extreme caution should be used when on the I-55 southbound ramp.  According to the Sun-Times, this is one of the most dangerous spots in Bolingbrook.  Due to its proximity to I-55, Bolingbrook is home to many fatal semi-truck accidents and car accidents.

In 2006, a fatal semi-truck accident claimed the lives of 3 Bolingbrook teenagers. Witnesses report that the semi-truck pulled in front of the car driven by the teenagers to make a turn.  All three passengers in the car were pronounced dead at the scene.  The semi-truck driver was ticketed for failure to yield while making a left turn.

In April 2015, a young mother and her infant son were killed in a fatal Bolingbrook car accident.  They were driving on Frontage Rd., the service road for Interstate I-55 when they were struck by an airborne SUV.  The SUV was involved in a collision on I-55 that sent it airborne, landing on top of a car traveling on the service road.  The fatal Bolingbrook car crash left a four year old survivor.
