A 9 year old boy was riding his Razor scooter (non-motorized) on a sidewalk in the city of Chicago when he was struck by a truck which was traveling out of the alley he was crossing with his mother and sister. As a result of the accident, the boy suffered third degree burns to his knee which required skin grafting surgery. Due to his injuries, he has extensive scarring on his knee. The case settled for $900,000.
