It was determined that the cause of the crash was due to a car by travelling at an excessive rate of speed and passing another vehicle in a no-passing zone. The fatal Homewood-Flossmoor car accident occurred at the 19800 block of Crawford Avenue. One 22-year-old victim was pronounced dead several hours later at St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields. The other victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
